We desire to help you engage in and contribute to God’s work at Calvary Church. We recognize that there is a big difference between showing up at church and being the church. Serving enables you to be part of something much greater than yourself.
When you serve in a chosen ministry area, you have an opportunity to make a real difference; and along the way this big church will feel less overwhelming and more like home.
Current serving opportunities include:
Nursery
Need: 50+ volunteers each Sunday
When: Once a quarter or once a year
Time: 8:10, 9:40 or 11:15 service
Requirement: Background check

Greet in the Sanctuary
Need: 5th Sunday of the month
When: January 29, April 29, July 29, September 30, or December 30
Time: 9:40 or 11:15 service (be in place 20 minutes prior to service time)
Requirement: Smiling faces

Visit a Shut-in
Need: Shut-ins are often without family and lonely
When: Varies
Time: Determined by individual
Requirement: Caring hearts

Provide items for the Food Pantry
Need: Personal items, canned foods, laundry items, boxed meals
When: Drop off at Yellow House
Time: Determined by individual
Requirement: Giving heart

Clean Staff Offices
Need: Offices are not cleaned regularly because of lack of staff/volunteers (can pray for staff while cleaning)
When: Determined by individual working with Facility Services
Time: Varies
Requirement: Serving spirit

Connection Point
Need: Connect people with community groups
When: After a Sunday morning service
Time: 9:15, 10:45 or 12:20 for a half hour
Requirement: Training on community opportunities (usually your first Sunday serving)

Special Needs
Need: Helpers for special events, such as praise and worship, movie nights, picnics, etc.
