Go Getters (SOS: Service on Sunday) – Sundays | 11:15am | Chapel
Adults, families and children with special needs that enjoy a calm, structured environment for worship which includes praise and worship, prayer and Bible teaching.
Go Getters (WOW: Worship on Wednesday) – Wednesdays| 6:30pm | Chapel
Adults, young adults & youth with special needs who enjoy the company of a larger, active community group which includes a time of worship, social interaction and interactive Bible teaching. Everyone is welcome!
OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH
Explorers and Seekers – Sundays | 11:15am
Children, youth and young adults with special needs who have opportunities to explore God’s Word and seek His wisdom in three different learning environments.
1. Explorers (Room 114): an active, less structured environment where learning takes place using interactive centers, based upon 52 Bible stories.
2. Seekers (Room 112 A): a calm, structured environment for those who learn best with less activity. Curriculum will be center- based with a focus on learning more about God.
3. Seekers (Room 112 B): a calm, less structured environment for those who learn best with more support and adaptive curriculum as they seek to learn more about Christ’s love.
Inclusion Opportunities: Also available is inclusion with Calvary Kids and Youth: a structured, active group of many children and youth of all abilities who are being guided to trust and follow Christ. This is done through a large group setting with music, Bible teaching and small group follow up. (Contact the Special Needs office for inclusion procedures.)
SPECIAL INTEREST CLASSES AND ACTIVITIES
• Art: Wednesday, 6:00-6:30 p.m., located in Room 114.
• Choir: Wednesday, 6:00-6:30 p.m., located in Chapel.
• Parent Community Group: Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. A place to develop relationships with others who share similar blessings and challenges associated with caring for a loved one with special needs.
• Fellowship Dinners: Wednesday evenings from 5:00 – 6:15 p.m. Everyone is invited. Menu details are in the monthly Calvary Life and the cost is minimal.
• Scripture Class: Wenesdays, 6:00-6:30p.m., located in Room 207. Open to the larger community of the church. After a brief introduction and prayer, students listen to Scripture being read, followed by a summary and question time.
• Sign Language: Wednesday, 6:00-6:30 p.m., located in Room 211.
• Social Events: Call for details.
• Faith Mentoring: to individuals who are interested in developing spiritual maturity and understanding their faith while preparing them for baptism and church membership.
OTHER SUPPORT AVAILABLE
• Transportation: Available on a limited basis. Call for details.
• Closed Captioning: services and computers are available each Sunday near the information desk in the back of the sanctuary.
• Hearing T Loop: is available in select areas in the sanctuary and chapel. Look for signage posted to designate areas.
